End of January, and although I write this in late December, by the time you read this, I hope to be on my “maternity leave”. Not that there is such a thing. I am an entrepreneur with my website as my primary means of business, meaning I can take time off whenever I like. That is one of the things I love the most about this lifestyle.
BUT, that being said, in case it wasnt clear already. I am noooottt the best at taking time off and tend to put a little too much on my plate.
This time however, with the birth of my first child, I intend on being fully present in the moment. I will be doing very minimal working, mostly maintenance with the strength training program, checking in on the Running for Real Superstars from time to time, and sticking to my goal this year of getting an email out every week to update you (sign up for updates below.).
Other than that, I will be completely stepping away, and even putting my phone out of the room as much as I can to make sure I dont waste these precious moments scrolling through social media.
Over the past four months, I have been working very hard to make sure this is an almost seamless transition though.
I have recorded and set up podcasts all the way through the end of March. Every Friday you will get a podcast delivered to your phone or podcast player (subscribe HERE if you haven’t already or listen on stitcher if you do not have an apple product ). I have some amazing guests, and I am VERY proud of some of the people I have been able to score onto the show. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on those. Feel free to leave comments.
You have already seen about the podcast series that I also released just a few weeks ago. These were to make up for the time you would not be hearing from me in other areas, and these are the first of their kind that will be offered to specific groups depending on what is going on in your running life.
If you are interested in learning about:
- Beginners
- Mental Toughness Training
- Marathon Training
- Coming Back From Injuries
- Running Nutrition
- Running Through and After Pregnancy (note this one is down, today, Monday 29th Jan, but will be up again within a few days).
Be sure to go back and check out the blog post about the podcast series here.
Blog posts like this were written weeks ago, and although I do not have enough to fill the entire time, there are plenty of previous articles to go back through and read if you use the EXPLORE section of my website. You can also use the search bar in the top right corner of this screen to find what you are interested in.
So yes, I am planning on taking the next two months mostly off, but you will still be hearing from me every Friday with the podcast, and through emails, so please, sign up for my newsletter in the box at the top of the page. I promise I wont spam you, but you will get to hear updates from how my life is going and also running articles I think you will enjoy.

Speaking of self-care, I need to slow down as well as these next few weeks are gearing up for rehearsals at school. I got bad sleep last night so I’m calling almost everything off today and just gonna nap, eat, and watch some Americas Next Top Model.
