HUGE NEWS!! My Number One Running Goal

Training Tips

I am sure you can guess.

I am sure you know what I am going to say.

I AM RUNNING FOR GREAT BRITAIN & NORTHERN IRELAND THIS WEEKEND!!!!!

I got the call yesterday that one of the other runners was unable to run this weekend, and they offered me the spot!

Of course I said yes, and although I still feel like this is not going to be the race I officially use to check off my bucket list as it was Gemma’s bad luck, I would never wish that on anyone as I know how hard that would have been for her to drop out, but I am absolutely honored at the opportunity, and am SO excited!

I did have another post planned for today; thanking all the people who have been a part of my journey so far, but I thought this news was a little more exciting πŸ™‚

Dream come true. I finally get that jersey/vest in my hands πŸ™‚

So now I know for sure, the details:

Saturday March 26th at 1:35pm GMT I will represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the World Half Marathon Championships!

It will be televised live on BBC One at 1:30pmΒ (GMT), and on watchathletics for the rest of the world πŸ™‚

What is my primary goal?

To enjoy every second, and soak in my first race for my country…..and of course leave it all out there…..as if I would leave it any other way πŸ˜‰

I will be pretty quiet the next few days, just trying to relax as much as possible, but I will update again next week πŸ™‚

Sorry for not telling you sooner, but I had to keep it quiet until it was announced, it has been kiiiiiillling me not to scream and shout about it πŸ™‚ Here is the release about it!
