Time to Take a Scary Leap: Interested in Helping?

I have been teasing you with exciting updates for weeks.

My website has had a “coming soon” banner across it for a little longer than I hoped (my fault for trying to change things I had no business trying to change!)

So just what the heck is going on?

Well, today, I can finally let you know.

It is time for me to leave my role at Runners Connect, and take the leap I have been thinking about for a while.

I am getting ready to take my relationship with YOU to the next level. I know I have been a bit slow at replying to emails (sorry about that!), to answering your questions, and my posts have been a little cryptic, and this is why:

I am getting ready to launch a business.

It is hard to know where to start with this one, and I have been battling inner thoughts about whether this is the right move or not, as I really do love what I do at Runners Connect, but I just think it is time for me to follow my heart and passion, which is helping you, the people who have loved and supported me with the struggles that are too often ignored.

It is my time to love and support you.

I am sure by now you know that I enjoy helping with the mental side of things, I enjoy helping solve problems, and I enjoy making people feel good about themselves, so they can perform in races, while getting the most out of running and life.

That is why my favorite part of my job right now is the podcast, because I get to connect and interact with some incredibly inspirational people, and share their advice with you. Your emails telling me how much the guests tips help you truly warm my heart.

I have also built so many fantastic relationships with wonderful people over the years, and now I encourage you more than ever to reach out to me and say hello. I really would love to hear what I can do for YOU.

So what am I going to do?

I will be announcing that part VERY soon, but lets just say I will be focusing on three areas:

  • Strength training plans
    • Drew and I are working on something very special 🙂
  • Mental toughness training
  • Injury/struggles confidence building
    • We all know this is my bread and butter, and I fully intend on breaking open the topic of the emotions around the depression and sadness (especially through injuries), and just how hard it is to NOT compare to your previous self or to everyone else

What is the company called?

Well, many of those of you who have reached out to me over the years were kind enough to help me, and I would like to officially announce my new business name; Running for Real.

In addition to offering products and services, I want to make this into a community that we can all be a part of, to help one another with those struggles and setbacks, so you can feel like you are not alone.

I will be aiming to launch April 1st, and so I hope you won’t mind over the next month, I may be kind of sporadic with my updates, but I would love to use your feedback as I develop this business, so if you are interested, please join this popup Facebook group to help me out with that.

I know a few of you have reached out to me over the years about wanting to help me, but not having Facebook accounts, and for those of you, if you could email me using the email you have used in the past, I can make sure you to keep you updated…although I would recommend just creating a Facebook account just for this purpose. You will notice that the Facebook account I have used for this does not have any friends, as it is solely for this purpose 🙂

I will be sending out email updates as the launch gets closer, but I may go kind of off the grid a little for parts here, I hope you can understand.

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering; yes, I will be launching my own podcast, and I already have some fantastic guests in mind for those upcoming episodes.

If you have any friends who do listen to the podcast, please let them know about this by either referring them to the group, or having them sign up to the email list to get the updates 🙂

Thank you so much my friends, I hope you will join me on this next chapter of life. I am terrified and so overwhelmed, but it will be worth it….right? 😉

What would YOU like from me?

Oh, and do you like the photo? My friend Peter Chiapperino (Photocyclone) took it of the new Sacuony Kinvara and I LOVE everything about this photo…you will be seeing it more, check out the Running For Real Facebook page for more on that! 🙂

Love what you are doing! I ride hunter/ jumpers and compete as well as run. Your mental training advice is helpful for both! As a older competitor it’s hard not to look back at your past and wish you were as fast, strong, wrinkle free and be happy with where you are today! Can’t wait to follow where you go with this! Go follow your ❤️
