This is an incredibly helpful series full of great tips from wonderful guests. I’ve been following the advice in these podcasts for about 3 weeks now, and I can tell a huge difference in my running, and my overall well-being. I highly recommend the series.

If you’re a regular Running for Real listener, you will recognize many of these speakers as previous guests on the podcast . . . only this time they get to expand on their philosophies!

The content on intuitive eating resonated with me the most. However, I did wonder what I was ultimately supposed to take away from the series as a whole, because so many of the nutrition philosophies competed with one another (e.g., advice to eat every 4 hours to “keep the metabolic fire burning,” vs. intermittent and even full-day fasting as part of a fat-fueled diet).

That said, I thought the introduction to the runner’s guide was excellent–really honest, and admitting that no one seems to really have a “final” answer, and that’s why this this series brings together so many disparate viewpoints.

All in all, it was a really enjoyable listen for anyone looking for a variety of viewpoints on nutrition–just be ready to parse out what you find most useful!
